Briefing 2020

Initial situation

There are countless IoT suppliers on the market today. They offer a wide range of services and have different USPs that can make things easier. However, many people fail to mention that their own solution is made up of several components. Getting them all together and making sure that they all work together smoothly is a sweaty and complex task, and it is not uncommon for half-baked compromises to arise at the end of the day.

The Microtronics IoT Suite is a comprehensive toolbox in which all components – from hardware to software and all services – work together smoothly. In keeping with the motto "get on the bike right away instead of reinventing it first", it makes it possible to take the first steps in an IoT project quickly and easily and to scale up easily afterwards.

Task

Within the framework of Industry meets Makers 2020, we are looking for innovative tinkerers, developers, start-ups or SMEs who are interested in developing their own IoT solution with the Microtronics IoT suite - in concrete terms, to get an initial IoT proof of concept up and running within a few days and thus test the underlying business model and defined processes in a practical environment.

Dates and processes

1. At the online kick-off event on April 16th at 3 pm we presented our briefing more in detail (see video recording of our pitch below) and started our brainstorming with first interested makers. Others can contact us at any time and join us. In a first step we will coordinate with you individually how we can best proceed together. After that, our experts will be available to you for the entire duration of this year's Industry meets Makers program to provide you with advice and support.

2. A special next opportunity to start a co-creation process with us is the 4-day Virtual Future Tech Bootcamp, which will take place this year from June 29th to July 2nd and at which our team will also be present throughout the event to introduce you to our technologies and help you develop innovative use cases. The Technology Stack that you will be able to use at the Bootcamp will be presented in the following overview.

3. The best solutions that are created by September 30th can then be presented again at the Best of Industry meets Makers - Event within the Digital Days at the ERSTE Campus in Vienna

Perspective

All participants are supported by a central contact person during the term of the project. We are available via forum, e-mail or telephone for further questions. In a workshop at the beginning of the process, we will introduce you to the functionality and advantages of our technology, thus making it easier for you to get started. In the context of meetings agreed upon according to your needs, we provide tips and suggestions for improvement.

The proof of concept, which was produced during the 5-month core period of this year's Industry meets Makers program, can be used further afterwards. Our team is always at your disposal for a future, long-term cooperation until your solution is ready for production.

Contact person

The main contact person at Microtronics is Sabrina Waldbauer.
