Briefing 2025
Our Project Vision
The project aims to develop an intelligent assistant that allows users to control an open-source CRM system using natural language, either written or spoken. Instead of navigating through menus and forms, users will express their intent in plain language – for example, “Find my open leads from last week and assign follow-up calls to the sales team,” or “Create a new opportunity for FeynmanQuotes and send them a welcome email.” The assistant will interpret the command in its full business context, identify relevant data, and execute one or several coordinated actions across the CRM.
At its core, the solution will use a locally running small language model (SLM) capable of understanding user requests in context – taking into account active records, user roles, previous interactions, and system state. This allows the assistant to reason about intent and perform multi-step workflows, such as creating a lead, assigning it, scheduling an activity, and logging a note – all triggered by a single, natural-language instruction. By processing data locally, the system ensures full privacy, offline capability, and transparent control over how decisions are made.
The assistant will integrate directly into the CRM’s interface through a chat-style panel supporting both text and speech input. Before execution, the assistant will present a human-readable summary of planned actions for user confirmation, ensuring safety and traceability. The architecture will rely exclusively on open-source technologies, enabling customization, multilingual operation, and domain-specific extensions.
By introducing contextual reasoning and conversational interaction into CRM software, this project aims to dramatically simplify user workflows, reduce manual input, and increase accessibility for all user types. The resulting system will combine the flexibility of open-source platforms with the intelligence of modern AI, forming a reusable framework for natural-language control of business applications.
